Note Connery's brief reaction to the mistake--he lowers the glass a bit, stares at it for a moment, and then mutters, "Perfect...."

This is not a blooper. Bond was simply being gracious to his host.
-
yes its definately supposed to be like that, he was being polite when he handed to him prepared incorrectly. it was supposed to be humorful.

I just saw this movie on Encore movie channel and wondered the same thing. I assumed that Bond was just being gracious, makes perfect sense even if it wasn't planned that way. The poor guy dies with a knife in his back in a few minutes from this anyways and is re-incarnated as Blofeld in "Diamonds Are Forever" in a few short years.

No, it was a mistake. The director only noticed it after filming and left it in with the implication that Bond was just being gracious and appreciative of the hospitality
-
of course its meant to be like that. its called irony.

Thanks for the upload!

Henderson: Stirred, not shaken, that was right?
Bond: *stares at him then throws the glass on the floor* YOU MORON! I'm James fucking Bond! Even the bad guys who don't realise I'm a spy know that I like my Martini SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED! Make me another one, and if you cock it up again, I'll introduce you to a German friend called Walther!
