Tayari Jones is such a fantastic writer (and gracious interviewee--the interviewer clearly didn't read her book very closely. The story is told from the perspective of three different children, two girls and one boy, yet she doesn't even flinch when he says the book is written from the perspective of a young girl, and later mis-describes a scene in which a boy is woken up by his father to help fix the gutter!)

I enjoyed this interview. I love Tayari's work, and can hardly wait to read her new book.
