Very well explained :)

@Aljon1000 at any given point in a star's life it occupies a point on the diagram according to it's temperature and luminosity. the graphs are made of a large sample of stars in a cluster.

Thank you so much ! This video helped me clarify things easily, and the thing is im only in grade 9 physics and already doing stuff like this. But i know it will pay off. You are a really good profesor, but how do you graph stars ? Because i really dont understand graphing stars since my teacher doesnt teach very well.

You are really amazing doctor.

Aha thank youu.......THIS makes sense XD

this was helpful but how do you apply it? is it a computer program or can you use it on paper? and do you need a telescope or can you use it with the naked eye?
-
wow.....thankyou soo much....way better than my professor!!

Yes, exactly!
x-axis is not just a funny way of representing temperature and colour. It's just the normal visible E-M spectrum sequence. Short to long frequency.
I like the way your explain things, you are a lot more clear and concise than my astronomy professor. Thank you :)
