GT5 - Online Racing Compilation

It's hard to find clean drivers on GT5, but as long as there are one or two, it can still make enjoyable races. It's too easy to give a cheeky nudge to the rear, spin your opponent out, put them into a wall, or punt them off the track in my opinion.

I'm nowhere near as good at this game as I am at Pacific Rift, but I'm skilled enough to control my lenience and drive cleaner than most. There are so many guys who are faster than me on this game, but wouldn't know a clean pass if it hit them in the face ... such a shame really. Anyway, this little compilation is for smrtb0mb as he's been putting up a few decent videos lately :)

The first race is against LILLO (Ford Focus) and my flatmate, Liam (Citroen C4) ... I couldn't stop laughing at that moment of epicness, so much so I barely made the corner haha ... fantastic moment.

These are supposed to be highlights of my races more or less ... no wins or anything like that, just close action. I never win online :P

you say there are so many guys faster than you in gt5- does that mean there are a lot of guys on tikys level playing it ?

Haha not at all, it means I use the x-button and d-pad to drive against guys with proper steering wheels and pedals xD They're able to turn their vehicles so hard that their tyre icons turn red ... I can't do that no matter how hard I push the directional buttons ... it can lose me up to 1 second depending on the corner! Plus I don't play TA so I have the skill level equivalent to that of a Pacific Rift Ranked Racer ... all-round average / good speed and decent consistency.

It is a shame the game itself is so dull. Watching your Rift vids with Dani shows this up.Where are the screams of enjoyment? :)

I couldn't agree more ... this is why Pacific Rift will always be the best :D I enjoy Gran Turismo more when I feel like enjoying a drive, rather than intense racing, or collecting cars.

Haha awesome! I've had a similar finish on Suzuka before, braking late into the corner after the straightaway and lucky enough to stay on the track without touching the other driver. The Laguna race was awesome, nice to see you're human and getting a bit twitchy on the corners by the last lap :P :D

What's the black race car in the 2nd Suzuka race? I can't place it for some reason.

Woops, accidentally just liked my own video thinking it was yours for a second HAHA ... I always filter the searches with ASM off, as they usually all have Traction Control off as well. I'm not going to get into any competitions or tournaments I don't think, but thanks for the info. I'll be looking forward to your videos. The Laguna race was so awesome :D glad I could race with that i-supra, he's a great driver. The black car is the McLaren F1 Stealth Model by the way.

Great driving :) The pass on Suzuka was ofcourse brilliant. Nice race with Supra, thoroughly enjoyed the battle of the 2 NSX-es. Furthermore, -pmsl- at the 2 cars shuffling at 8:49 on Rome Circuit :P Wish I could drive like you on GT5 haha ;)

By the way I'm not finding online TOO bad lately... especially if I can find a sport tire room, those are usually very clean. Plus there are always a lot of rooms so you don't have to settle for a crap one.

ALSO... if you're interested, look up the 525pp European Car Shootout on the GTP tuning forum. I'm taking part as a tester and will be putting up a video with the results!
