EL MAR
Is the first single of the new album I Can See The Brite Spot (august 2008). The Song talks about being pushed to the edge out of ones controlThe Ever present hooks remain in the new sound of Volumen Cero. The Band experiments with synths and drum loops to get the pulsating drive of El Mar.
The Feeling you get while listening to El Mar Is a voyage to 1977 a sonic mixture of early New Wave Post Punk and Americana. The album was inspired living in the Los Angeles district of Echo Park. Echo Park is quite bohemian; like the East Village of NY City in late 70s. Bands such as Beck, Ima robot, Silver Sun Pick Ups, call this hippie hipster community home.

This time around Volumen Cero: is Josh Sonntag (guitars & synths ), Luis Tamblay (synths, vox, bass) and Marthin Chan (guitars And Synths). I Can See The Brite Spot was produced by Volumen Cero and Brendan Buckley. The Album was tracked in Los Angeles and Mixed in Monterrey, Mexico by Sacha Triujeque. Its been 3 years since Volumen Cero put out any new music Their last album gained them a Best Rock Album Grammy Nomination for Estelar.
