VWs don't have poor reliability. Maybe you have owned some in the past that you just didn't take care of, but my Golf GTi hasn't had a problem since I bought it 4 years ago and I drive the hell out of it.

more than that actually, the rabbit only gets like 150 to the wheels and the gti makes a lot of its 200-210. Then you chip the gti and upgrade the turbo and it's faster than an r32. GTI is win
