  • I'm not so proud to live in a republic, I would prefer living in the United Kingdom but I can't make this choice yet unfortunately :)

  • Thank you for your comments; you are a proud republican; I believe in constitutional monarchy. The President of the United States is probably the most powerful leader in the world and yet he too bows his head in respect to the Queen of Great Britain as he bowed to the Emperor of Japan.

  • @fairgirl7 I totally agree ! Her majesty has such a place and such an importance and I would say you were right, but I can't say that she is superior than Obama for example, this is not true. But, I understand what you mean, you should be monarchist and... I'm sorry to contradict you, we have both different point of view. Nevertheless, God save your Queen :)

  • Sarkozy is just another political hack of a republic; they come and go like a revolving door! Her Britannic Majesty serves for life; she is above politics and represents the majesty of Great Britain. FACT.The British Prime Minister is comparable to your Sarkozy; like Sarkozy he will be replaced by another politician! The monarchy is supreme and is the continuation of a thousand years of British History.

  • @fairgirl7 I really love England and The Queen, I undertsood your point of view when you say that she is the descendant of a thousand years of monarchy, you're right, but you should admit that the Queen is not the superior of a president, they're both at the same place (and she has less power than a president but she is the "leader" of the country though). I really admire your Queen and I hate Sarkozy but we can't say this kind of "false" things, sorry

  • The facts are that republics cannot hold a candle to constitutional monarchy re. tradition, longevity and heritage. Grow up and stop using childish comments like shut up! Defend your positions as a man; not a child.

  • You know what? I like England, I like the fact that England does have a queen and not a president because it makes its charm! Besides I went to England some weeks ago for holidays and I would seriously consider staying there for a while! But the way you say that sounds like "racism" to me! So, i'm sorry about that, but shut up!

  • The Queen is the descendant of a thousand years of monarchy; your president is just another politician who will be replaced by another in just a few years. Constantly changing pay to the highest bidder republics cannot compare to the heritage and tradition of constitutional monarchy.

  • Superiors? The queen isn't the superior of our president... they are actually at the same place if I can say so... they both lead a country! None of them is superior to the other one!
