Actually, now that space flight is going commercial, and Virgin has already released the first spaceship to the public, it will only be a few years until you can do this, and for cheaper than $500K.

and i'm stuck on this stupid rock... If i don't get off the planet by the time i die, I don't even see what the point was. Look at technology's rate of advance... I think in 70 years or so, even though i'll be really old, i could get into outer space for, say, 500k? (with inflation, that's probably arround 5-10k today) don't you think?
