Well, actually young @chrisford82, to say 'wedi marw' can also mean dead. It is the idiomatic nature of the language. You are right, literally, it means has died, but if you were to say my dog is dead, you would say "mae fy nghi wedi marw", it would also mean my dog has died, but also my dog is dead. Please take my word for it you pedantic fool. Welsh is my first language, which I have spoken all my life. I have an A-level in Welsh literature and know what I am talking about. So there.
