A high speed look at the process I use for carving details into my Halloween prop tombstones. Please excuse the short section of violent camera jitters in the middle of the video. My son decided he wanted to start text messaging with his elbow on the table.

  • I think you have a new fan in me- you may know, but Im just getting started and your foam work inspires me.

  • @TheBoneyardCreep - Thank you. I'm glad I could provide some inspiration. If you havent already, and have the time, swing on over to HauntForum, check out some of my past tombstones, and if you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message, email or whatever. I'd be happy to help. I know you have that nice pile of scrap foam all ready to carve up.

  • Wow, this is most impressive SK!!! Some of your tombstones are the most decorative kind I've seen for Halloween decoration. Lovely work. I'm curious SK, how long did it take you to complete it all?

Love the choice of music. Oh and it's Goldie from Season of Shadows ;-) Not sure if I've told you that. Are you ready for Halloween? Will you be able to decorate and to celebrate more so than you were able to last year? I hope so. If not, I'll be on chat like last time ;-)

  • @LPF767 Thanks Goldie, I'm always most appreciative of your kind compliments. I am FAR from ready for halloween. Still have several projects that I want to complete. I dont think I will get them all finished, but I'll be damned if I dont try. And you can bet I'll get some time in to visit with you on Halloween night @ John's Chatbox.

  • @LPF767.. oh, and it took about 5 hours to carve the face of the stone.

  • That was insane! I just started drawing celtic knots, can't even think of the time and effort it would take to actually carve them out!
