@MetaTekReviews LOL, you're just talking with a bunch of Apple fan boys here, the only point is to push Apple products, it does not matter how many points you make they will not acknowledge any of them, that is how you can tell they are fan boys, plus the crowed of people who just magically agree with anything pro Apple, I have stated I use Linux many times to these fan boys and the result remains the same, they tell me how bad Microsoft is and how good Apple is, thumbs up 2 u.

@HemaZev I will converse with you about Apples slave labor industry in China if you like though. XD

@HemaZev LOL, I don't care, I use Linux. Don't care about what you think about Windows, or OSX, and guess what, I don't care what you think about Linux either!

@rockerteen8300 Once upon a time Windows was the best operating system in terms of expandability and versatility, but the reliability never matched OS X. I've owned both PCs and Macs and used both just as much. The PCs work but they've always needed Windows reinstallations at certain points, were always slower in performance, and bluescreened more than I like. The Macs never crashed, not once. I'm not a "Fanboy." I base my verdict on experience with both: OS X is better.

compaq's are cheap crap.

@adric22 Thats why you get an SSD that isn't made by OCZ
-
huh. Sooo If I place my Windows 7 laptop next to it will beat both of those OS in boot times.

@adric22 You didn't specify which OS X the iBook was running. OS X 10.1 is VERY different to 10.7. I'm pretty sure if you put windows XP on that 2008 laptop it would run pretty damn quick. OSes are always designed with more features which take time to load as the hardware for them becomes available. Booting Windows 95 used to take this long but you can boot it from a RAMdisk in about 2 seconds flat now. I'd love to see Lion on that iBook. Oh wait, you can't install it >.>

@adric22 You would go to a business meeting to do a presentation and not already have your laptop on? That's silly. :P

Jeez. It's just a testing of old versus new. This won't change the world or anything....but I for one found it to be an interesting test. Thanks for sharing. I suppose you can argue the point until you're blue in the face, just for the sake of arguing. Some people really enjoy debating everything. lol
Wow, I have a pocket pc and it boots up in 3 seconds, who cares.
This test could be considered legitimate if both computers were the same hardware and they were booting operating systems developed for those computers during the same year.
Then we could see how much faster apple is.

@rockerteen8300 - You don't get it. By using such an old computer, running a newer Apple OS, I actually gave the windows machine a HUGE advantage. And yes, a modern Mac will most definitely boot , shut down, sleep, and resume from suspend much faster than a similar equipped Windows 7 machine.

@adric22 LOL, alright Gomer, I don't give a shit, I repair electronics at component level and design my own PCB, if you even know what a PCB is, LOL.
Anyways, yeah, I see the fan boy game you're playing, have fun with that.
Also, a modern MAC is just an Intel computer with an eprom so OSX can identify the hardware as legitimate Apple certified, once again slick, the difference is really between the operating systems only, and they both have pros and cons, nice try though, go fool someone else

@rockerteen8300 - You are an idiot. The whole point of the video was to show differences in operating system. You made my point exactly when comparing a modern mac to a PC. the only real difference IS the operating system, and the operating system boots, shuts down, sleeps, and wakes up a hell of a lot faster than Windows. That was the point of the video, nothing else. I'm sorry you're too stupid to see that.

I dont really see the point of people complaining over what starts faster, or shuts down faster. To be honest, who cares. Times dont matter, its how the System preforms.

@MetaTekReviews - I guess you've never been in a business meeting with a group of 30 people waiting for you to start a presentation while you wait for your laptop to boot up.
