Early human remains suggest the type of diet an early Noth American human may have eaten, and what type of animals may have attacked humans in the early stages of human civilisation. Interesting clip from BBC natural history show Wild New World.

  • There were 3 points of entry, the west coast being only one of them. Seafood played a large, not complete, part of the diet of east coast natives, as well as west coast natives.

  • This clip shows, that the first Paleo Indians came along the coast at the end of the last glacial periode. The first American Natives lived from seafood. It was impossible to cross Canada, cause it was covered by an ice age glacier. As the global temperature rised, an icefree canyon to the south appeared. Around 9000 years ago this canyon to the south was walkable - the majority of the American Native ancestors peopled whole America. But the first groups came along the westcoast.
