Spotted Owls (mated pair)

I went out with owl researchers in a section of old growth forest in the Willamette National Forest, and I was privileged to see Northern Spotted Owls -- a mated pair! Both are seen in this clip. The male is guarded and aloof but watchful; the female takes a mouse offered by the researcher (which aids in banding identification and nesting tree location).
