I remember watching a couple episodes of G-Force on cartoon network years ago, back when they had that "Japan Block" which showed G-Force, Speed Racer, and some other 70's anime, never got hooked though.
But since I got Tatsunoko vs Capcom, I'm gonna try to watch most of the animes represented in the game!

For me, G-Force(Gatchaman/Battle of The Planets) was the be all & end all of animation when I was a shorty...and it still is..

For a 70s show the animation quality was very impresive.

The character designer for this show was Yoshitaka Amano who will later do character design work for the Final Fantasy game series.

That Turtle King thing reminds me of the kaiju Mugera from The Mysterians.

@fucheduck Well, it originated in Japan, as I recall, and I was just curious if it would be better to watch the original Japanese version.

Would you recommend watching the original Japanese dub before watching this?

I'm not sure. These are the only ones I've watched, so I couldn't tell you if there's a significant difference between the Japanese and English versions. I don't see the original Japanese on YouTube. Maybe I didn't look enough.

Thank you for posting! I grew up watching Battle of the Planets...(I'm a big Casey Kasem fan)... Although I still like it very much, I like this version better. Thank you for introducing the original to me.

My pleasure. I'm like you--I grew up with BotP then found the original Gatchaman on YouTube. I had to get the entire series. I think it's a much better show. Glad you like it.
