Welcome to Learning Welsh! This is Lesson One and here are the phrases that are discussed in this lesson.

Shwmae = How are things?

Bore da = Good Morning

Prynhawn da = Good Afternoon

Noswaith dda / Nos da = Good Evening and Good Night

Goodbye = Hwyl (fawr) / Da Boch Chi

Pwy dych chi? = Who are you? (Formal)

Pwy wyt ti? = Who are you? (Informal)

Richard dw i = I am Richard

Fy enw i yw Richard OR Richard yw fy enw i = My name's Richard

Braf cwrdd â chi = Nice to meet you

Sut dych chi? = How are you? (Formal)

Sut wyt ti? = How are you? (Informal)

Da iawn, diolch = Very good thanks

Iawn = Fine

Go lew / Gweddol = Not bad

Wedi blino = tired

Ofnadwy = Terrible
