Ashtabula Harbor, Ohio - Part 1 of 3

Just out for a drive and decided to stop in the Harbor of Ashtabula Ohio for this video. It was a nice day out and pretty calm without much wind along Lake Erie, not many days like this on the lakeshore. This is just a quick pan of the lakeshore lighthouse inland to the Bascule Lift Bridge. Watch for 2 more videos of the Lift Bridge raising and lowering also. This Lift Bridge is the only one of its kind still used for automobile traffic in the state of Ohio.

I'm from Ashtabula and what I'm gonna ask might sound a little weird but...anyone remember a painting a local artist did of Ashtabula harbor a couple years ago? It was a beautiful painting but really sad to look at, because the artist was dying of cancer when she made it. I think the painting was even reprinted on bookmarks and stuff that were distributed through the local libraries, but my memory is hazy.

i luv going over the lift bridge n watching it from point park......wenever im out that way wit my dad i make him take me across it even on his harley..:)

@carcell1204 Now that sounds like fun, riding a motorcycle across the bridge!! I know it's only a short distance but it would be a different experience on a motor bike for sure..

@D44102 Ashatabula is No Shit Hole.. Its all what you make of it.. if you do some Histroy on this Place ? you might be Surprised.. i Lived there Most of all my Life.. i have Moved away now for Higher Reasons, But i will Have Always Truely Beautiful Memories Of Ashatabula. Take a Look around you.. God Gave Us a Place of Paradise to Live..and Breath.. Having Ture Appreciation Of that Should Speak Louder then Words..If your Not happy on this Planet? Maybe a Space Station would suit you Better?
