I hate the Dems too, but hell... READ THE BILL!! Know what you're dealing with! Don't walk in without doing your job and expect the others to let you waste THEIR time while you ask for crib notes. Isn't this what aids and assistants are for? He could have one of THEM read the damned thing and find out the answer to his questions about the bill and then go in and get his debate time to amend it the way the process is supposed to work.

How stupid does the representative have to be to not understand the difference between a questions that is a point of order and a question about the substance of the bill. If you follow the rules of the points of order, then you follow the points of order. His being out of order is exactly the reason why there is a process. I'm sure the rep on the floor knew he was just being an ass.

Barney Frank was completely right!!!!! he was simply keeping order while people were violating the rules. Mchenry was NOT offering legitament Parliamentary Inquiries and Points of Order. he was completely justified in correcting them!!!

Look at you righties acting like Frank is wrong here.
The first asshole asks if he can offer an amendment then and there. Frank tells him that it is not an appropriate time for that. He then asks Frank again. And again. And again. Frank was blunt with him but he was right. This was not the time to introduce an amendment and he thought if he asked enough he could.
Frank heard what he was asking the first time. He tried to re-ask it over and over but it doesn't change the answer.
