Happy Days is a play in two acts, written in English, by Samuel Beckett. He began the play on 8 October 1960 and it was completed on 14 May 1961. Beckett finished the translation into French by November 1962 but amended the title. "In a moment of inspiration, he borrowed the title Oh les beaux jours, from Verlaine's poem, 'Colloque sentimental'". --Wikipedia
I do not own the copyright to this video, but I have uploaded it here so that a broad and interested audience may first be introduced to the works of Samuel Beckett. If the owner of the copyright should wish it to be taken day, they need only say the word.
However, if you enjoyed this video or any of the others I've uploaded from this collection, please consider buying the DVDs yourself (a must have for any fan of Beckett's work) at http://www.beckettonfilm.com/ .

I have to admit, this is one show I really enjoyed the concept, thematic concern, the acting, the script, etc. It really is genius. But, it was really quite torturous sitting through this show, I can only feel winnie's pain, which is, I guess, one feeling we as audience are supposed to get.

This was so helpful as I am studying this play. Beckett really needs to be seen performed as it is difficult to understand on paper. Thanks.

How does she go to the bathroom unless it all just leaches into the ground like some big, oversized cat litter box.
