84 watts of light in this tank. really? How do you expect anything to live. Just my opinion way under lit and it doesnt look like to much current in there. Take that canister filter and throw it in the trash all it's its good for is a nitrite trap The tank looks fairly new is it?

I have a glass canopy and I rest the two lights on top of that. There is an opening in the canopy that allows me to drop in flake food, but to feed frozen I take the lights down.

Hello again. Me with the 44 corner tank. Im looking to add lights but because of the diff. shape of this tank Im puzzled on how to mount them~ how did you do yours? Also do you have a glass canopy. When you feed your critters do you have to remove everything? Thanks!!

Thanks for the comments. I've actually kicked this tank. I'm running a 120 gallon overflow now with sump system. Believe me, I understand the cost, invested about $10K into this tank. I'll post a video soon.

Nice tank. I just bought a used (empty) 44 gal. same as yours. What are u running for filtration? Any advice? Not new to fresh h20 tanks but saltwater is a whole new ball game.

I use a Fluval 201 canister. Big this with saltwater is the live rock. If you are going with a live rock tank you really want the rocks to be the main filtration. I also have a hang on the back protein skimmer. I don't think you need a sump system for a 44 gallon as long as you stay on top of water changes, skimmer helps too.
