CP train 824-001 (Fording, BC to McKellar Island - Thunder Bay, ON) has 114 loads with 3 GE's and an SD40-2 on the point rolling past Fairview Avenue at mile 6.22 Kaministiquia Sub (one mile east of Dexter) on a cold February 15th, 2008 afternoon.

  • So that is near the first overpass when you leave TB via Arthur Street?

  • Yes. About a kilometre or two before you hit the first overpass..... first left after the 20th sideroad turn-off.

  • What road is that? I am from Thunder Bay.

  • Fairview Avenue (off Arthur St... old Hwy 11-17). Exact mileage is 6.22 Kaministiquia Subdivision. Track speed here is 60 MPH, but most trains don't get that high of speed.
