How to easily install & remove 4.6L DOHC rocker arms

How to remove & install the rocker arms on a Ford 4.6L DOHC engine with no special tools.
Demonstrates the "pop them off" technique... which may or may not be a good way to do it, I'm no expert.

@svtlincoln The proper tools were $150 when I made the video in 2009 -- these engines were more exotic back then... tools may be cheaper now.

@svtlincoln I actually did them all in a 4.6l F150. I found that using a 1 inch wide snap on gasket scraper with square shaft is best.

@600joe LOL it is a lil more difficult when it's in the car. I don't know why he thinks the proper tool for the job is $150 when you can buy them all day long for $40.

I would recommend applying tape to the screwdriver so you dont scratch the cam. Hardened? yes. but you can scratch them. I promise.

hello, I am doing this on a 4.6L SOHC. My book didnt say anything about setting the keyway. Do I need to do that on my SOHC or is that just for the DOHC? Why would they omit something that important? By the way, the few parts of my hands that dont have cuts on them thanks you. All the book says is position the camshaft so the cam follower is on the base of each camshaft lobe. Nothing else. Could use some help :(
