A 5 1/2" diameter, 6 foot long rocket launched from a Linear Induction Catapult.
this is the bad video, most of the catapults action happened while the camera is in between frames.

  • The motor is an off-the shelf J sized Aerospark, if you were speaking of the rocket's motor.

    If you were speaking of the linear induction motors, unfortunately, I'm not at liberty to give specific number... but it's a 30 lb rocket being accelerated at well over 20g's before the motor ignited.

    It wasn't modified for these purposes. That was the intent of this portion of our project.

  • Interesting Project...How much force is derived from the catapult version the motor? Looks like a J sized motor.
