Theme from The Killing Fields (1984)

The music video for "Étude" which appears on the Elements - The Best of Mike Oldfield video shows a boy watching parts of The Killing Fields on a television from a reel-to-reel tape machine and looking through photographs. The boy also plays with a Fairlight CMI, which the soundtrack album was composed on.

  • @zullian1959 verdade! é linda :)

  • Como a alguien puede no gustarle esta cancion

  • The tune was very emotional it made me cry the tune is the best tune i have ever herd in my life. Very smooth a tune you just have to like

  • Sure, the theme is an arrangement of "Recuerdos de Alhambra" (Memories of Alhambra), a classical guitar piece composed in 1896 by Spanish composer and guitarist Francisco Tárrega. Search it here in youtube...!

  • hmmm, not too sure about the arrangement of recuerdos de la alhambra!!

  • It's lovely. It reminds you how beautiful Cambodia is and how gentle its people are. I had the pleasure to be in Cambodia last year and felt in love for their kindness, their rich history and its beauty. I'm so glad that they are over the Kimmer Rouge nightmare and are rebuilding their wonderful country. We should have more movies about Cambodia... the story of the Cambodian people and their suffering its worth to be told.

  • it's sad yet triumphant, like the movie itself and the historical realities it portrays...beauty can be found amidst the tragedy

  • I love this gentle song. It's kind of symbolic in a way, as after war, despite everything being left in a disasterous state, there is a peace that can flourish.

  • Does he deserve a capital D

  • @The1Mickonator Yes, I heard this with my Dad too.
