Sure, the theme is an arrangement of "Recuerdos de Alhambra" (Memories of Alhambra), a classical guitar piece composed in 1896 by Spanish composer and guitarist Francisco Tárrega. Search it here in youtube...!

It's lovely. It reminds you how beautiful Cambodia is and how gentle its people are. I had the pleasure to be in Cambodia last year and felt in love for their kindness, their rich history and its beauty. I'm so glad that they are over the Kimmer Rouge nightmare and are rebuilding their wonderful country. We should have more movies about Cambodia... the story of the Cambodian people and their suffering its worth to be told.

it's sad yet triumphant, like the movie itself and the historical realities it portrays...beauty can be found amidst the tragedy

I love this gentle song. It's kind of symbolic in a way, as after war, despite everything being left in a disasterous state, there is a peace that can flourish.
