I wanna buy one of these for the same purpose (trackdays). But I´ll also add a wide angle lens kit, something between .5 and .7 widening.
What do U say about battery life and head cleaning? I´ve seen a lot of bad reviews regarding head cleaning...
At least the video quality seems pretty decent for the price!

this video was not shot with the hc52, but as far as my hc52 goes i have not had to clean it yet, and the battery last long. i have not had a problem. but for track use i always bring extras or plug it in between run groups
