Luke Marr's Unemployed Potential is unlike any other alternative rock / pop band. The music is a tasteful light rock with strong melodies, but their overall abilities in comedic performance and promotions are the highlight of the group.

Founded by professional actor, musician, and entertainer Luke Marr, the band is different because they don't just play music, they are performers of all kinds. Concerts feature the University of South Carolina comedy champion William Woody, and comedic videos from their series of video blogs about the adventures of the band. The group strives to be a positive influence on popular music through their performances and behavior on and off stage.

Luke Marr most recently appeared on an episode of "As the World Turns" which was broadcast nationally on CBS. Luke also had the opportunity to sing the national anthem at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC. He has extensive experience in business and promotions as the former owner and founder of "FASTR", an organization that held contracts with multi-million dollar corporations.

With the addition of Chris Sarant, the former touring bass player for Jack Johnson and Ben Harper, Luke Marr's Unemployed Potential will promote their sound and vision to the entire southeast during their spring 2010 tour.

In early June 2010, Luke Marr will go on a fourteen day tour of Italy where he will promote his music to Rome, Venice, Florence, and more.

Luke Marr's Unemployed Potential is a great choice for live shows because they entertain crowds of all ages with tasteful music and appropriate comedy. Their sound is often compared to John Mayer whose song "Dreaming with a Broken Heart" is regularly covered by the band. The band also covers Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight".

Luke Marr's Unemployed Potential has a strong Christian background. Their goal, is to spread the message of forgiveness throughout the world by meeting people where they are. The band strives to be a positive influence through examples in their songs, performances, and lives. Concerts are clean and appropriate for all age groups.
