When I heard Pet Shop Boys' upcoming release was not being sufficiently promoted by EMI in France, I was surprised because the French love their PSB. Would they get a chance to love 'Yes' too? For the occasion, I've added the record's beautiful ballad to scenes from France's much-cherished yearly citrus festival, where classic PSB songs are part of the rotating playlist for festival-goers (or at least they were when I was there for this year's theme, which celebrated great music of the world).

This is the kind of PBS that made me fell in love with them since when I first heard of them on the album Behaviour in the 80's. Love to hear them returning to that sound!

It is a gorgeous, contemplative track, isn't it? Yes is a very fine album. "Did you see me coming?" is said to be the next single -- not at all a ballad like this one -- and I think its my favourite cut from Yes overall. It's a fantastic radio-friendly song, sure to be hit... I only wish an upload I could produce would be able to do it full bouncy justice EMI France better get with the program and get it and the whole record out there!
