Wide World of Sports closing credits, 1982. Includes the famous skiier "wipeout". No sponsor advertising during the middle, but still a piece of nostalgia nonetheless.

Comments welcomed but they are moderated, so if you dislike, don't bother leaving something like "u sux0rz n so duz ur vid" - no one will see it. :p

  • Can you post the opening credits from that same year?

  • If I can find them, I will certainly do so!

  • Just so you know, the skiier who "wiped out" was Vinko Bogataj representing the former Yugoslavia at the 1970 International Ski Flying Championships in Oberstdorf, W. Germany.

  • Wow, TV really sucked before cable TV was popular.

  • Sound quality isn't that good, though.

  • just listening to this...i cant wait to watch the 2010 Olympic Games

  • I'm trying to teach my young kids about great hurdling technique, and remembered that Renaldo Nehemiah was on WWS. Great technique from a straight-away shot. Many thanks for having one of the few videos of him!

  • Thanks!

  • Ah, the days gone by, there will never be that magic time of the 80's again. Nice video even nicer watching the Pro Bowlers Tour opening videos and then this, sure brings back memories.
