1 Day 2 bE Awesome! 051

In which we basically just geek out about seeing Speed Racer in IMAX. Quick review: There was some stuff that we were surprised to see in a kid's movie (suggested torture, innuendo, monkey poo...) but we were really impressed by the strong family theme. In most children's films, parents are portrayed as bumbling idiots, but in this film they were really strong characters with a good relationship, and they served as role models. Awesome.

We live in New York. :D Though it takes us awhile to get the the city. And going to the Palisades was a road trip. But it was worth it, Elliot and I had a really nice date.

I really need an excuse to see speed racer...because the last time I went to a kids movie by myself I felt kind of weird. I think some of the parents thought I was some sort of perv...

I'm just about to go see Speed Racer! However, not in IMAX, though I could. I'm glad that it's good, I'm excited to see it.
