More than 800 delegates met in New Orleans this week for the State of the Coast conference. Biologists, NGOs, universities, government agencies and private enterprises gathered to share ideas and solutions for restoring Louisiana's deteriorating coast. Organizers say it was a critical event to bring together industries and agencies to work towards restoring Louisiana's coast. At a point in time when there is heightened awareness and the potential for billions of dollars in funding, innovative ideas may soon be put to work on the coast.
