May 6th, 2006: Matt Tegenkamp (Nike) and Chris Solinsky (University of Wisconsin) run the first sub four-minute miles in the state of Wisconsin's history at the UW Twilight Invitational.

(sorry the video kinda sucks - if I had known I was the only one recording it I would have gone up to the announcer's booth...)

  • @mrcardio9r hell half the population barely gets under 7 mins. for my club team, we have to run under 4:45 to even tryout lol

  • Running a mile in under 4 minutes in one hell of a feat for sure.

  • In reality only a very small minority (percentage of population) can run a mile in 5:30 and below or run 3 miles in 18:00 minutes or lower. So I feel pretty good about my 4:34 mile PR and 16:48 5k PR. Not going to break any records but still pretty damn quick compared to most.

  • whats that song?

  • if anybody subscribes to me ill subscribe back

  • I got Chris Solinsky's autograph at SPASH..I run a 11:31 2 mile in XC as an 8th grader 2nd year of doing XC.<3

  • thanks for holding the camera still -.-

  • @butterpoop You mad?

  • @InferiorThanYou ah go fuck yourself! If I were gonna lie I'd come up with something a little faster than 8 minutes

  • @butterpoop Sure, and I can say I'm 6'1, 239 and can get a mile in 7.59 flat. Ahh, the land of lies people bring.
