  • It is so delightful to listen to you play. I am really looking forward to hearing you play in Holland in April. We hope we will get to know you a little better then also because your playing reveals your very deep spirit!

  • i love your playing! Soo intamite!! So Deep! Soo Passionate!

  • @barendschipper. Thanks for the comment. I'm not really clear what you mean by a " 4-4 bar"? The rhythmic cycle that I'm improvising here is a 16 beat cycle -"Teentaal". Its a very commonly used cycle in Indian Classical music.

This video is from 2007. Do listen to some of my more recent music on you tube-latest clip is from a concert I did a few months back at the Novara Jazz Festival, Italy.

  • A 4-4 bar raga.

The point of Raga is it's souplesse in rhythmic variety, far beyond 4-4.

But OK, it's a start, as an exercise on the way to something.

Work hard, listen to classic Raga.

There is a lot of hard and pleasant work ahead! Enjoy yourself!

  • Yaya, a raga in 4-4, for the pop music market?

Come on....listen to some classical Indian stuff. But a nice amateur exercise as a start.

  • Good job. Have you guys searched the Pakistani pianist Usman Anees?

  • lol this dudes my friend!!! hes amazing!!!

  • Fantastic!
