Engineered to sound better at HIGHER Volume levels. Copyright infringement in NEVER intended. Please read details at MajesticSuperiorHen's Channel.
Dennis Paul Shea on Drums and Keith Martin on Bass. EXP's 6th time at Tony's New Yorker, Tempe, Arizona.
This is EXP's attempt at playing this song, although not like any particular version. You'll hear some familiar licks and things. It was played, keeping the spirit of Jimi in mind.
Originally written by Muddy Waters, then re-interpreted by Jimi Hendrix. You can find numerous versions from some of Jimi's 1967-68 Live shows.

Tony's New Yorker used 15 watt refrigerator lights to light the stage, this makes for extra grainy video.

  • I watched all your videos and they are all awesome! Thank you for all the amazing hendrix covers you posted. But I have a quick question. What is the guitar and amp volume set to when you guys perform live?

  • @RomanSkateboarding

This has been asked before. When he was playing at smaller bars, like Tony's New Yorker his volume on the Marshall would be at 3 1/2 and the Drums were not mic'd through the P.A.(see '3 Mo' for camera sound example) The only trouble with this volume level was getting wicked Feedback. It was not loud enough for wild feedback. He says his amp is super clean, no distortion. Guitar volume, with dist/fuzz pedal on, 3 clean 10 full Dist. Thanks a lot.

  • THAT IS NASTY!! ROCK ON BROTHER!!!

Perfect tone too, love the setup!

  • @wutang1231

    Awesome comments. Thx!

  • how do u get that sound? any pedals you are using?

  • @o1zeidler

I think he attributes that to mostly his amp. He changes the distortion boxes around, quite often. You can see the pedals on my channel page. The amp too.

    Thx for asking.

  • This is hands down the best cover of this song via Hendrix style that I have seen. Great job!

  • Incredible. Of all the people I've listened to that play Hendrix, you have the most authentic, natural blues feel.
