This is more or less why I stopped reading Marvel and DC comics. Overexposure of characters, wave after endless wave of rediculous miniseries and overglorified story arcs and the fact that comic book characters never die. I hate the fact that when a character dies, they make a huge deal about it and 2 years later they are revived. Also, I can't stand cannon revisionist stories. Spin-offs are fine, but established stories that people change just to gain more readers are shit.

What's wrong with Deadpool ppl love him nuff said. Also every tv show ever made sounds like that comic. House he always comes up with a way to save the person at the end. other randam shows that have the same ending every day.

Huh an actual LJN game thats enjoyable.... that's rare.

Hey He11sing you should review "Amazing Spider-Man #300".

the comics do look kind of dumb, by how you have described them, but the concept of them, imo, is amazing. tonnes of heroes and villains from different comics or whatever coming together for one big brawl sounds really badass. one of the reasons why i like video games like super smash bros or dissidia final fantasy.

I managed to live by entertaining my mind with men in tights. That's how I survived this god-awful mess.

@He11sing920 uhh........man the LJN game made more sense than this garbage. Also whats that song in your intro called? O.o

it seems overstretched but try and follow any of shonen jump's arcs and oh man those things stretch for YEARS!

@He11sing920 Well it's been years since I've read Maximum Carnage so maybe I remember certain things differently.
Uh about the happy thought gun, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Shriek's power to make people go violent or angry? Wasn't that the whole reason the riots broke out? Sounds to me like a Happy Gun is a good way to counter someone with powers like that.

@Falcovsleon21 You are correct about Shriek having that power. However, I must mention that she never had that power until this miniseries. In fact, it isn't even mentioned in any decent way. It's almost said in passing, so unless you are really paying attention when you are reading, it just looks like the people of Manhattan are just going batshit for the hell of it.
Also, Iron Fist of all people stopped the riots by talking to the people. So, the happy gun was pointless all around.

Did you ever read Kraven's Last Hunt?
HatOfWisdom 1 year ago
@HatOfWisdom Sadly, no. I haven't read Kraven's Last Hunt. I would like to at some point, though, since I think Kraven is an awesome character.

Even for a guy who likes guilty pleasures, like me, I'm glad I never read Maximun Carnage back then. Now I'm probably going to horrify you Hellsing, but I do read Rob Liefeld's work. Why?! Because for laughing my head off like an idiot for days. And I hope in the near future you will review some of Liefeld's comics.

@Cellmate412162 Well, I do have a few things that Liefeld has worked on ("Deadpool Corps" and the "Prelude To" miniseries, "Deathmate", and an issue or two of "X-Force" that he worked on), but I am not entirely certain if I want to cover those at some point (except for "Deathmate", which I bought for the sole purpose of covering it at some point).
