A safe, reliable and flexible battery/inverter to power Profoto D1, ComPact monolights or Acute2 generators on location.

This video features several outdoor shoots, including one at dusk. The Profoto BatPac, four D1's, and the Acute2 1200R are shown in use, along with the photos they help capture.

  • cool product: the lights just stand up and walk after the battery when the shoot is done... and of course your model begins shedding clothes as soon as she spots that red turnswitch

more specs & actual information would be nice :-)

  • @misaacsable Thanks for voicing your opinion - there is a link above with all of the technical details you desire, Enjoy!

  • After testing it's our assumption that when the Acute 2R fires, the power draw is so great that the BatPac can't supply enough electrical charge which turns off the 2R & built in Pocket Wizard. With the receiver memory now cleared, during re-charge the 2R has to re-learn the PW transmitters code again. This leads to intermittent triggering. Perhaps this is a defective BatPac & Profoto USA is looking into that possibility but if not... goto wootenweb for more info

  • @RealShakaZulu Thank you for making us aware of this problem. Our engineers are working on a solution right now.

  • Great device, i use it together with 2 D1 500Ws Blocks. The recycle time is great and i never have to wait for the flashes to shoot again.

  • @RealShakaZulu if it's a real problem with all the units, hard to believe it would make it through testing like that.

for now I believe you should have no trouble using it with a pc cord or with an external pocket wizard. I never buy the packs with the internal wizards because spending the money on an external wizard affords you more flexibility (you can use them with other lights, small flashes, etc)

planning to get my own batpac once the guys are BH are back from their jewish holidays...

  • Just bought this and I can't wait to use it! :)
