California's legendary Tehipite Valley. Said to be "Yosemite, but without the cars (or people!)". Tehipite Dome is reportedly the largest intact granite dome in the Sierra, towering 3600 feet above the Valley floor.
Rattlesnakes, bears, and the 15 mile trip (the last two miles cover 3300 feet DOWN to the Valley floor) conspire to keep all but the most dedicated out.
Join the Black Diamond Trout Society as they pursue the toughest trout on the planet, at the Middle Fork of the Kings River- Tehipite Valley.

Awesome video! Looks like a great place. I'm looking for a place to do a 3, maybe 4 day backpacking trip. Would you recommend this trail? If so, what trail did you take? Thanks!

Did a solo trip into the valley a few years back with the Middle Fork in full flood, truly a spectacular and mystical place. What a powerful river! Thanks for sharing.

That would be a hard core 3 or 4 day trip...The drop into the valley is knee-busting, coming out-worse.
I think the trail we took was either Rancheria or Crown Valley.
