The verbatim script follows below...

OKLAHOMA BUREAU OF NARCOTICS AGENTS TAKE OFF FOR TODAY'S MISSION. TO FIND MARIJUANA CROPS READY FOR SUMMER HARVEST IN PAYNE COUNTY.

Darrell Weaver/ OBN Dir. "we are actually on a mission right now up here in Stillwater we're looking for drugs we're looking to run search warrents, knock and talks or whatever..." OBN DIRECTOR DARRELL WEAVER IS BRIEFING AGENTS AS WELL AS MEDIA, LAW ENFORCEMENT AND OKLAHOMA LEGISLATORS THAT ARE OBSERVING TODAY'S MISSION.

Rep. ken Luttrell (D) District 37 "times like this last year when the budget is tight it's important for legistlators to get involved in day to day operations of something like this to understand how important the funding is to the state of Oklahoma to combat drugs in Oklahoma." THE OBN DANGEROUS DRUG UNIT HAS BEEN MAKING ITS WAY ACROSS THE STATE THIS SUMMER IN THE WAR ON DRUGS EFFORT. AND WHEN AND IF THEY FIND ANYTHING TODAY- DISTICT ATTORNEY FOR PAYNE AND LOGAN COUNTIES, ROB HUDSON IS READY TO PROSECUTE THE OFFENDERS.

Rob Hudson/ DA Payne and Logan County "we have a phrase that prosecutors are fond of you do the crime you do the time. But in a college town you have to... We were the first to have a drug court in Payne County." AUTHORITIES SAY WHILE OTHER DRUGS LIKE METHAMPHETIMINE HAVE BECOME THE STATE'S BIGGEST CONCERN, MARIJUANA CONTINUES TO BE A BIG PROBLEM BECAUSE IT'S STILL CONSIDERED THE "GATEWAY" DRUG.

Darrell Weaver/ OBN Dir. "we have a problem w/ marijuana use but also the cultivation of marijurana. We have people in the state that go out and they use good land and they try to grow these products it's very important to keep these people out of our communities." THAT'S WHY OBN AGENTS ARE TAKING TO THE SKIES TODAY. AND I WENT ALONG WITH THEM TO SEE FOR MYSELF WHAT THESE AGENTS ARE LOOKING FOR.

"FROM UP HERE IT TAKES A HIGHLY TRAINED EYE TO SEE MARIJUANA PLANTS THEY DO SAY ONE OF THE THINGS THEY LOOK FOR IS A MAJOR WATER SOURCE."

"we're looking for ponds we're looking for cleared out areas where water hoses are feeding because water is key especially in the summer and the heat." TODAY'S MISSION DID NOT TURN UP ANY MARIJUANA PLOTS WHILE WE WERE ALONG...- HOWEVER THEY DID FIND A SPOT THAT LOOKED AS IF IT HAD JUST BEEN CULTIVATED. THAT AREA IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. IN PAYNE COUNTY, ANGELA ROSECRANS, THE OKLAHOMA NEWS REPORT.
