Wow, I find it so amusing that so many people feel that thier team is irrelevant compared to the Rangers that they have to spew so much venom. If you thought Richter was "shaky" in the '94 finals.. You didnt watch! He was terrific, He also singlehandedly stole the 96 World Cup for the USA. Ghytgb... You are right they didn't knock out the Habs or Pens. They beat the team with the second best record in the NHL in the ECF! Try to learn something about hockey be4 you post!

you said it and just like grant fuhr, richter had it easy while playing with the OILERS. grant fuhr used to give up 4, 5, 6 goals a game on any given night and the OILERS would finish first overall every year. NO OILERS - NO N.Y. STANLEY CUP. lowe was just as old as messier, mactavish and anderson. those guys knew how to win the cup. 1994 LETS GO OILERS!

Leetch and Zubov were great offensive d-men on that team but no one will ever talk about them being shut down defensemen. Beukeboom, yes. Lowe was like a million years old. If you watched the Ranger team back then you would know they put their emphasis on scoring and not defense.

did you know that the rangers had first shot at gordie howe but gordie said they were a bunch of jerks so he signed with detroit! -- just one of the thousands of reasons why....THE RANGERS SUCK!

i walk through new york five days a week and i see people wearing yankees, mets, giants and jets hats, shirts and jackets. seeing someone wearing anything to do with the rangers is like seeing bigfoot. if there are ranger fans in manhattan they're not proud enough to show it. the garden hasn't been full since gretz left after missing the p-offs two straight yrs. i go to nyr gms and have no problem sneaking down to the suits and ties section where the fans no nothing about hockey. what a joke!

guess what? Richter got blown out in a couple of the 1994 finals gms and healy carried him all yr. here's something you didn't know. the devils were an up and coming young team with a rookie goalie. it's not like the N.Y. OILERS knocked out the habs or pens. Richter surrounded by OILERS = good -- Richter surrounded by Rangers = just another NY goalie. --- NO OILERS NO CUP. --- Dan Blackburn would've won 4 or 5 cups with the oilers and he was an average goalie like richter.
