This scene gives much more meaning when you've seen the entire series, especially at the end of Season 1 when Baltar is led into the Opera House by the Caprica Six-vision-thingy to see the child of the future, leading to its TO BE CONTINUED text.

@danielqmul they said during the show at one point that the older models are like hive guards to the first ever hybrid, james adama saw the first hybrid (new version cylon basestar) at the conclusion of the first cylon war when he heard its voice saying "all of this has happened before and it will happen again"...in conclusion those older models act as its guards and keepers

A very eery tingle of awe and revelation swept down my spine the first time I saw this :]
-
@danielqmul they were the guardians.

considering what the opera house actually was. it fit metaphorically and literally. a defining moment that sends chills up my spine every time

I like the juxtaposition of " visions " of the elegant old, pristine ( ? ) Opera House with the battered, damaged, slowly deteriorating Galactica, & the rumpled, disheveled Six & Baltar w / their better - groomed " angelic " / " head " counterparts. I admire the way Saul agrees to abide by w / ever Bill Adama decides - That's friendship, beyond Cylon " skinjob " or human.

@danielqmul The older models had been guarding The Colony for years.

It makes me move...

@IaxobusJames It would be a boring world if we were all into the same thing.

@danielqmul - It seems like it.....
This was one of the best scenes in the best TV show ever. Wow... It STILL gets me; the power of this scene...
