L237 An example of using the pentatonic scale a fifth above the root - When playing in E minor, use the B minor pentatonic scale. With the E as tonic center you then get the 5th, b7th, root, 9th and 11th when playing the Bm pentatonic scale.

  • Marlowe, thanks man. This line gave me an hour of fun, trying to get some playing in in the early hours of the morning before my 2 year old daughter got up to rock da house. I played parts of it, all of it, changed the groove, slapped it, and it all sounded cool. Thanks for the inspiration. Whoops, I hear her rising now. Time to break away from the rock & roll lifestyle and be a daddy again.

  • Do you have tabs anywhere for these fills?

  • How on earth do I learn that. I can hear it, but simply just cannot play it, I can't tell the notes.

  • Marlowe, when are you appear on camera in drag? Just be sure you have your normal, serious look on your face.
