  • @disneyfan81 A rather colorless version, in my opinion, and the background is a distraction.

  • Caterinas version is good in it´s genre. But personally there is no one, I repeat no one that sings this song better then sir Thomas Allen....

  • Thanks for posting. She has a lovely voice. Also compare Doretta Morrow's beautiful coloratura. She created the role in Kismet on Broadway. Sang with Mario Lanza in "Because You're Mine." Unfortunately she died of cancer at the age of 44.

  • Excelent!! Thanks for the share:)

  • UN TEMPO PER....la Caterina internazionale. 2° incontro con una bellissima canzone.

    Grazie Patrick

  • @SzokePeter66 I only said that because this was the first version I ever heard, and considering how I felt about this one, means that this one was a tough act to follow. While admittedly, I may be be a little harsh in comparing Tony Bennett's version unfavorably to Caterina Valente's, I still stand by feeling that her version is a million times better than in any production of "Kismet" (and that includes both Alfred Drake and Howard Keel).

  • I disagree about Tony Bennett being put to shame. I am fan of both singers. She might as wee performed on his side as she has been part of the most unlikely associations including with Satchmo, Ella, Danny Kaye, etc.

  • I love Caterina's .

  • Thank you for posting this! This version puts all others to shame, including Tony Bennet's and any version of "Kismet's"!

  • Paradisiaca ....
