Hi my name is papatom and I want to introduce to you the Greco Les Paul Custom "Open O" Greco "Mint Collection Series" made between 1982 and 1990 by Greco and Tokai and the Fujigen Gakki Factory. This beautiful all Black Greco Les Paul Custom has up grades such as a brand new Gibson 1972 Gibson Embossed Patent Numbered neck Humbucker and a Gibson Pro HBL four wire with ground bridge pickup connected to a push pull pot that puts the Gibson USA bridge Humbucker in and out of Phase. It also has beautiful binding and a four layer binding around the front, three layer around the back of the body and solid up the neck on both sides and triple binding around the Headstock. It has brand new Gold Grover Tuners and new bone nut. The sound is awesome and I hope you can get the idea of it through my playing. The dark Ebony neck is straight as an arrow and the frets are hardly worn, only the first top three have at least 80-85 percent life left with no buzzing. There is plenty of Fret wire and never has been leveled or cut down, still round like from the factory. there is a good site on wikipedia that gives the dates and so on.. I changed it all to Gibson pups and pots, I'll tube it in the winter if I get to it, I put 57's in, my favorites, I like the 500T as well.... the wood grains on this paul are awesome... I have a new Gibson 60 RI in black with 57's, with the plus at the bridge,, I keep going back and forth, not sure which one I like better sound wise, the action on the Greco is way better, check out my site. stratconnection com.. papatom

@yellerdogdog way to go, they are sooooo coooollll makes me wonder why I ever bought a gibson... I guess name... the greco have that synth neck board like a steinberger, they never ware or move... the gotoh pickups sound out of this world... hey man, rock on... papatom

@yellerdogdog thank you yellow dog, I sold this one and I'm sorry I did cause now I know the money wasn't worth missing this incredible instrument... I sold another original 60's RI Cherry Burst the Gotoh pickups had the numbers right on the back of them as well as the pots... but I sold it real cheap to a friend who helped me allot in starting my web site/ stratconnection com thanks again yellowdog.. keep rockin on papatom

i have a Greco Black Custom i had shipped in from Japan. I love it but not sure year made. I doesnt have serial. It has the 4 binding on front and 3 on baclk like yours. The white binding and Diamond Logo inlay have turned gold with age. It has an Ebony fret board. I was told the no serial number guitars are pre 1975. I really love this guitar. I have les Gibson but like this better. It is exactly like my Gibson but heavier. If i send pic can you tell what series its from. Thx
