I only discovered that post rock was essentially born here in Louisville just two days ago. I'm sure glad I did.
Now I have Sigur Ros, GY!BE, and now, Slint.

Still as beautiful as when a mate gave me a tape of 'Spiderland' in 93', with the hushed words "You've really got to hear this!".
Back then there was really only word-of-mouth for Slint and bands like them, it was a real find!
As much as the internet (particularly YouTube!!!) brings out a load of bellends/cyber-warriors, it's great that people get into bands like this through it too.
