Demi stared as Joe leaned in. His eyes were half-opened, and hers were now closed. She could now feel him breathe as the crowd roared with all their might, "Kiss!" The crowd of students exclaimed as Joe's lips were an inch away from Demi's. His lips touched her's as he lifted her up from behind, sealing his love with a mere kiss. He pulled away as the crowd's uproar filled the whole theater.

He looked to his right, and quickly, he saw the bottle of poison. He stared at it, and then he stood up and took it. His eyes traveled up and down, examining the bottle he beholds. He opened it and threw the cap. He took a deep breath and drank it until it was empty. "O true apothecary!" he stated as he went closer to Demi's coffin, " Thy Drugs are quick." He looked at her with such compassion, " Thus with a kiss. . . I die." He said beneath his words, as he fell down and pretended to die.

The crowd clapped loudly as the curtains pulled in, covering the scene from in front. All of the spectators stood up and gave a standing ovation; this was yet their best performance. Demi smiled as the sound of the applause grew. She stood up from her coffin and went backstage. " Ah! " Joe yelled, "The Living Dead!" He pointed as Demi rolled her eyes, laughing. "Very funny, Joe." She went near him and playfully hit him. " Ouch?" he raises his brow, immune to Demi's punch. She laughed again as their director called them. " That was brilliant acting, Joe, Demi! " He exclaimed as a smile spread on his face.

Joe bowed as he took her hand, " It was all thanks to Demi," he smiled at her, " Oh, and of course your directing." He winked at the director and laughed. " Okay, that's enough, Joe." Demi said as she pulled him into a hug, " you did great!". she congratulated him.Demi then saw the director shake his head, so she turned to him, and so did Joe. " I can't believe you two are just best friends." He crossed his arms, tapping his shoes on the ground. " Well, believe it, Mr. Davids." He laughed again before leaving Demi and going to the changing room. Demi smiled at Mr. Davids and left.


-Later-

Joe's car pulled into the driveway as Demi gave him a jokingly stern look, "You're late." She said. Joe got off of his car and took Demi's bag, "Well, I'm sorry Demi. But I parked a long long way from here." He explained as he looked at her, "Forgive me?" He smiled. Demi smiled and giggled, "How could I not forgive my best friend?" She said as she sat on the front seat. Joe smiled widely as he sat on the driver's seat and started the engine. "So, where to?" Demi asked as she pulled the scrunchie that held her messy pony tail up, letting her hair fall down as the wind picked up it's pace and blew Demi's beautiful brown hair around her face.

That happened when they reached the stoplight, and Joe couldn't help but stare at her. He was admiring her beauty for almost 14 years, but he did not know if he had a crush on her, or he just thought that she was beautiful. ". . . so?"Demi said as she combed her hair using her fingers, "Where shall we go, Romeo?" She stuck her tongue out and giggled. "Wanna hang out at my house and have pizza?" he asked. Demi thought for a minute, and Joe looked at her with a confused look."I forgot-- I have a date tonight!" She yelled. Joe's jaw dropped and his heart seemed to have sunk; he was hurt that his best friend was now going out with someone. As Joe was about to say something, Demi looked at him and laughed. "Just kidding." She smiled.
