  • there's something about class that is so heart warming. The capitals paying respects to Konstantinov is a perfect example of above and beyond class. A tiny little act, but sometimes those are the most revealing of true human decency.

  • I was only about 5 years old when this happened, but it's one of the moments that stuck with me. I was real little, and my mom explained to me what had happened to Vladimir. Watching Yzerman hand him the Cup was an amazing moment.

  • the year Osgood shut the haters mouths.! GO WINGS!!!

  • This gives me the chills everytime I watch this. This is why I have great respect for my beloved Red Wings. One of the most greatest moments in sports history. Period.

  • BELEIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i cant watch this without crying i was at Yzermans retirement game in '07 and have met him on more than one occasion my dad does a lot of dental work for the wings and when this happened i was about 8 but thats a standup guy handing that cup off to konstantinov and im glad they had his name engraved on the cup i like to think the team won it for him what a great enforcer he is up there with mccarty and probert god bless him and his family

  • I miss hockey on ESPN

  • This is the classiest thing I have ever seen done by a team for a player! I loved Vladdy, he was a terminator!

  • I'm not a Flames fan, not a Wings fan, but damn their fans and organization defines classy.

  • The Stanley Cup celebration is tops!!

  • @NJNcomedy The player in the wheelchair was in an accident; he could never play hockey again. Detroit kept him as a player, and put his name on the Stanley Cup (also letting him do a lap with it). They still have a locker set up for him.

It was a terrible accident, and really shows how classy this organization is. he won his own cup with them outright too the year before.

  • fuck, the 90's were the best for everything.
