  • I realised the newspaper cuttings were from different seasons but had them in purely to fit in with the running time for the song which was the main reason I posted the video to see if it rang a bell with any Rangers fans from that era.

I went with photos I already had on my pc for the team not neccasarily the 75-76 season, there certainly were a few variations on the hoops in that time,I remember the thin hoops from 76-77, by the time the UEFA cup campaign started the thin hoops were history.

  • Cheers Martin,it took me years to find out the name of the song, everyone I asked I drew a blank with.

That song brings back great memories of when I first started going down the Rangers.

  • The music is a classic. been trying to fing out what that was called for over 20 years, havnet heard it since the played it at Rangers. Brilliant.

  • i fuckin' love that tune, wish we still played it!!

  • ID soundtrack please ?

  • One or two wrong uns in there. The 8-2 League Cup win v Sheffield Wednesday was from 73/74. The Brann Bergen away leg 7-0 was the second leg from the UEFA Cup in 76/77. One or two pictures, eg Stan Bowles, are in those short lived crappy thin hoops we had in 76/77. After going a whole season unbeaten at home in the league in 75/76, our first game in that kit was a 4-0 home defeat to Everton in the first game of 76/77.

  • @RICKYHOOP Great bit of sleuthing! I'm a big music fan and also had no idea what the music was either. When are we having that beer in the Crown and Sceptre?!

  • Love it - fantastic memories! And the use of "The Pied Piper" by Steve Race is a great touch, The 1975/6 Rangers side were the best football team I have ever seen apart from the 1974 Holland World Cup team.
