Rush: Resist (Rush in Rio)

Eight years ago, Rush played Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on the Vapor Trails tour. This would be released as Rush in Rio. As part of the Vapor Trails tour, Rush introduced an acoustic rendition of "Resist," originally released on their Test For Echo album in 1996.

I personally believe that they should bring back this version of "Resist" for their Clockwork Angels tour. Does anyone agree with me? This is so beautiful: just Geddy, Alex and two acoustic guitars. Pure emotion and pure power.

Many thanks to my brother for being able and willing to take this video from the Rush in Rio DVD. He understands that I am a Rushaholic. I have loved this band for a year now, as of November 12, and will continue to love them for years to come. That is a promise.

Just another observation, notice how many of today's "acts" (they are just that) play an instrument?? Write music? Being a recording artist went from a craft...learning, excelling at your craft to looking the part and singing someone else's written work. Usually very non creative with a "hooky" chorus suited for school girls. That's what makes the fact that these guys are still putting out quality music so special.
