Thus, both the federal government and the state government are able to charge and prosecute one person for the same criminal act, which is often the case for drug related crimes. As well, two or more states can prosecute and try a person for the same criminal act. People need to start a website for FBI to file murder charges against Casey Anthony on the federal level!!!! I'd like to share this note from a Federal Attorney which does give us hope and Caylee as well!
Ms Anthony could be prosecuted under the General Murder statute (Title 18 USC, Section 1111(c)(3) (Murder of a child), or 18 USC, Section 115(b)(3) (Murder of a family member), or under Title 18 USC, Section(s) 241, 242, 245 or 247 dealing with criminal violations of an individual's civil rights. Furthermore, Ms Anthony could, and should, be indicted on federal Obstruction Of Justice whereas she concealed a dead body and lied to law enforcement authorities, including the FBI. There are other federal statutes implicated as well should the United States Attorney want to be creative.

So, in conclusion, Mr. Commentator, your assessment of the limitations of the Fifth Amendment are quite flawed, and it IS in the interest of all readers here who genuinely want to see Caylee obtain justice by and through Federal prosecution of this wicked psychopath. What this means is that the Petition for which is referred to her should be signed and endorsed by as many people possible, because I can tell you, as a Federal attorney, it is making quite an impact with USA Robert O'Neill, and even more importantly, Attorney general, Eric Holder, who would make the ultimate decision whether to authorize federal prosecution of Casey Anthony pursuant to the longstanding "Petite Policy".

That was a beutiful video and i do not like casey anthony but you have got to be the stupidest person on youtube. The clause actually does state you can't be tried for the same crime twice what difference does it make whether it's federally or on the state level. Everyone could be charged with their same crime twice then huh?

U really don't understand what any of this means do you? Its not about the 5th amendment. A FEDERAL TRIAL REQUIRES FED JURISDICTION no exceptions. Any criminal proceeding jurisdiction exist. In the Casey Anthony (CA) case the jurisdiction belongs to the state exclusively. Dual sovereignty does not change jurisdiction requirements. Why don't U read what jurisdiction is 1st, otherwise, your copy and paste argument is completely meaningless.

I'll make it easy for U. If Caylee were a diplomat from France, with everything else the same, then there could be a Fed murder trial, because the ambassador ship would create Fed jurisdiction. But guess what, Caylee wasn't an ambassador or had anything happen that creates Fed jurisdiction, so there can only be 1 state level trial. They had that its over. U should learn the basic laws of the country U live in.

A very sad thing is that Americans don't realize what the 5th Amendment means. Your not tried for the same crime 2X in America. Before you start the dual sovereignty crap look up federal jurisdiction and explain how it applies to Casey's murder case. I never get any real answers to that because its the reason why Casey can not be tried again!

Justice to a little life that was not noticed by jurors and let alone it's own family. We the people will give Caylee the JUSTICE and give this little precious girl at least this last voice to her life. Murdered and thrown away like Caylee never existed. Instead of showing links to law offices that do not claim that CA can be retried in Fed. Court, why don't you have a drive to help children and then when they grow up they can teach you the Constitution, and why you don't know what the F*ck your talking about.
