  • With all due respect to those singing the praise of this fine pianist. He is just that. I found him insipid and uninspirational. Certainly I was not moved in any way. His Mussorgsky was often off-key. and the rest of the program (Chopin included) was deadpan, as was the man himself. I saw Evgeny Kissin on the weekend, and now THERE is a master. Absolutely no comparison. :(

  • Many pianists play Chopin but only

    Demidenko gets inside his soul.

  • 這曲的詮釋...紮實是個經典!

    張力彰顯出故事性~尤其緩慢部分的抒情意味{我聽過版本中最romantic的}...倒出後半部驚人的氣勢!!Bravo

Demidenko is amazing.I've visited his concert few time. But he always give very wonderful music.Evgeny Kissin some time off-key also. They are always traveling maybe that day Nikolai is really tired.

  • Nikolai Demidenko is great ! Bravo, maestro!!! ♥

  • Very suprised when he came to my local town of Morpeth in NE England, wonderful.

  • At '91 he recorded the Ballades and the sonata op. 58 with Hyperion and this must be from his CD.

In ballades there are equally good interpretations out there.

BUT his interpretaion of sonata op. 58 is the best, better than Argrich, Pogorelich or any other.

Especially the Largo is beyond words...

  • i was good luck enough to watched him perform Chopin and Schumann. As u said power and stamina of the man, passion . I really hope he will come to Singapore next year.

  • I watched him perform a Prokofiev piece two years ago at the Christchurch Town Hall in NZ, it was the most amazing performance I ever saw, the power and stamina of the man, quite incredible, such passion, I never heard such a performance !!!!! I doubt he will ever come back to NZ, so I feel very lucky to have heard him while he was visiting here!:)
