The Sruti Youth Group recently interviewed the Priya Sisters, accompanied by Sri B. V. Raghavendra Rao on Violin and Sri Neyveli Skanda Subramanian on Mridangam. The Youth Group interviewed them after their performance at the Bharatiya Temple on April 9th, 2011. The concert was sold-out, and the audience was treated to the melodious voices of Smt. Shanmukhapriya and Smt. Haripriya. We sat down to discuss with them their duo, some memorable performances of theirs, and how they see the classical arts continuing in our modernizing world.

Interviewers: Anil Chitrapu and Harsha Kanumalla

NOTE: We sincerely apologize for the background sound during the artists' responses. We are looking into getting dedicated microphones to reduce this noise in future videos. Thank you for your understanding.
