@tenore23 in support of your above comment: Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, Indiana University, Oberlin, Curtis, Miami University, Cleveland Institute of Music, Northwestern and UKY ... there are fantastic Opera Singers coming out of these schools. Opera is alive and well in the Midwest my friends :)

Why in the hell is everyone coughing their brains out? THIS IS OPERA!!!!

@tenore23 I agree...the piece SOUNDS happy, but the words show a desperate longing to get away from the life she is living. The best Neddas are able to show the desperation and sadness that lay underneath the surface of this aria.

Funny, the same name calling; nothing proved. I have only written ONE article for parterre, a review. Funny how you feel compelled to stretch the truth and call me names to make yourself feel batter.
And by the way, age is nothing. I have met 20 year old men and 50 year old boys. Seems that no matter what your age is, you are still acting your shoe size.
Lastly, my location means nothing. The Midwest is known for very good opera teaching and companies. IU and OTSL are just 2.
Laughable

Ok, fine. What exactly in the libretto indicates that Futral's interpretation is incorrect? Specifically, I mean. I'm open.
The Silvio/Nedda duet of this performance isn't available, is it?
